Bowenfels Medical Practice is a family practice established in 1999. We provide comprehensive quality health services built around a multidisciplinary approach in a comfortable environment.
Our practice includes Bowenfels Medical Practice located adjacent to the local hospital, and Eskbank surgery located in Lithgow town centre.
We offer patients specialist general practice and procedural services, supported by allied health services including physiotherapy and specialist telehealth. Our doctors support the local hospital with procedural and inpatient services and after hours on call and emergency services.
COVID 19
Bowenfels Medical Practice and Eskbank Surgery are committed to providing free vaccination services to all eligible patients as part of the vaccine rollout in NSW.
We can provide both Pfizer and Astra Zeneca vaccines at our Bowenfels surgery.
The Astra Zeneca vaccination is available to anyone over 18 years. Appointments can be made by calling our Practice directly on 6352 2533.
The Pfizer vaccination is available to anyone aged over 12 years. Appointments can be made through the online appointment link on our website. These appointment times are regularly updated.
If you have a medical condition which you believe may prevent you from having a vaccine, or are unsure on which vaccine to have, please make an appointment with your GP to discuss these concerns with you.

We provide comprehensive Obstetric Care, Anaesthetic, General Practice, Surgical, Skin Cancer Care, Minor operations, Women’s health, Paediatric care, Mental health, Diabetic, Psychological Counselling, Age care, and Pain Management. We are also committed to Medical training.

Dr Gus Hardy has commenced work at our Practice. Appointments with Dr Hardy are available most days of the week and can be made by phoning reception.
Dr Hardy will also be working at Lithgow Hospital.

Our practice was established in 1999, initially at Bowenfels near Lithgow Hospital and then a subsequent branch practice, Eskbank Surgery, was established closer to the town centre.
Our doctors also support the surrounding towns of Wallerawang, Portland, Hartley, Rydal, Cullen Bullen, Mt Victoria and Blackheath. We provide services to our local nursing homes Three Tree Lodge and Lithgow Aged Care. Many of our doctors live locally in the community and support local community events.
Existing patients may make a GP appointment via our online appointment system which is open 24 hours a day. New Patients will need to call during practice hours between 8.30am-5.30pm.
