Dr Siva Kanagaratnam
Qualifications: MBBS (unsw), dip RANZCOG, FACRRM
Medical interests: Family Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Anaesthetics and Acute Medicine
Interests: photography, soccer, travelling
Dr Kan has lived and worked in Lithgow since 1990 and is an active member of Lithgow Anglican Church.
Dr Biing Liang Yin (Dr Biing)
Qualifications: BA. (Education), MB. BS (Syd) FRACGP. FACRRM. DRANZCOG Adv, Grad Dip Rural GP.
Medical interests: Obstetrics and Minor Gynaecology, including caesarean, Obstetric Ultrasonography, Anaesthetics, Critical Care, Care flight Retrievals and Medical Retrievals, General Practice, chronic pain, diabetes prevention and cardiac prevention, Paediatrics, Lifestyle modification and natural therapies
Interests: Reading, Investing, Christian teaching, Entrepreneurship, Gifted Education, Property Development, Personal development, computer technology and programming.
Dr Biing is married with 2 children. He attended Cooerwull Public School in Lithgow.
Dr Mark Roebuck
Qualifications: B.M B.S, FRACGP
Medical interests: General Medicine including diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and COPD, Emergency medicine and all aspects of General Practice including skin checks, diagnostic skin procedures and removal of skin lesions
Interests: Dr Roebuck is a keen bushwalker, cyclist, and musician.
Dr Roebuck has lived in the Lithgow area for most of his life, attending the local schools and working as a tradesman for the Power Station and Coal Mines previously. His medical training was completed in Adelaide at Flinders University and subsequent training at Nepean Hospital in Penrith. He has been part of the Bowenfels Medical Practice since 1997.
Dr Hilton Brown
Qualifications: Fellowships in the Royal Australian College of General Practice and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine
Medical Interests: Dr Brown has diplomas in Obstetrics and Paediatrics and is credentialed in both Obstetrics and Anaesthetics.
Interests:running, swimming, and taekwondo
Dr Brown has been a GP in Lithgow since 1999.
Dr Richard Stiles
Qualifications: MBBS FACRRM FRACGP GDRGP(Surg) DRANZCOG(Adv) M. Bioethics
Medical Interests: Upper and Lower Endoscopy (gastroscopy/colonoscopy) and General Surgery
He also has post graduate qualifications and an active interest in the field of ethics. Dr Stiles works in both Lithgow District Hospital and Lithgow Community Private Day Surgery Centre.
Dr Madhu Tamilarasan
She enjoys all aspects of general practice and has an interest in providing healthcare to LGBTQI patients.
In addition to her clinical work at Bowenfels, Dr Tamilarasan is involved in training the next generation of GPs and has previously looked after the postgraduate GP training programme for Central West NSW and beyond.
Dr Tamilarasan is currently undertaking a Masters of Sports Medicine and runs Lithgow Sports Medicine from Bowenfels Medical Practice with appointments made through the Bowenfels Medical Practice reception team.
Please note that Dr Tamilarasan does not routinely bulk bill. Her fee schedule for both general practice and sports medicine services are available from the reception team at Bowenfels.
Dr Wan Sze Yin (Dr Yin)
Qualifications: MB. BS (Uni of Syd); FRACGP; FACRRM; Grad Dip Rural GP; DRANZCOG Adv.
Medical Interests: Women & Child Health; Emergency Medicine, General Practice
Interests: Reading; Piano; Dance; Multiculturalism, Language, and Food
Dr Mark Freeman
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (1st class honours in astrophysics) Uni of Syd.; Graduate Diploma of Meteorology (Bureau of Meteorology).; M.B,B.S (Uni of Syd.), FRACGP.
Medical Interests: Sports medicine, Emergency medicine, Men’s health, Ear, Nose, Throat, Allergy and all aspects of general medical practice
Interests: Dr Freeman is married with school age boys. He is a keen runner, orienteer, cyclist, skier and wilderness adventurer.

Dr Kieran Webb-Sawyer
Dr Webb-Sawyer is a RACGP Registrar and grew up in nearby Lithgow. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 2015 and has since worked at Bankstown and Campbelltown hospitals with experience as both an emergency and paediatric registrar. He completed the Diploma of Child Health through the University of Sydney in 2017 and the Certificate in Emergency Medicine through the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine in 2018.
Areas of interest include Emergency medicine, paediatrics and preventative and lifestyle medicine.
Outside of medicine he enjoys music, mountains and all forms of adventure.
Dr Gus Hardy
Qualifications: Bachelor of Medicine – University of New England, JCCA (Anesthetics) Medical Interests: Paediatrics, emergency medicine and anaesthetics.
Interests: Dr Hardy enjoys running hiking and music in his spare time.
Paul Roebuck
Paul graduated from the University of South Australia in 1997 and originally hails from Lithgow.
Professional interests: low back and neck pain, persistent pain and longstanding complex patient problems, swimming and running injuries
Paul has 20 years experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries. He has worked in Australia, UK (Liverpool and Edinburgh) and also Germany (working with the British military).
Outside of work Paul enjoys most sports including swimming, cycling, running and supporting Liverpool football club!
